Equisys, a producer of software packages for document production and delivery, including Zetafax®, a network fax server, and Zetadocs®, a Document Management Solution, recently announced that they have attained the Microsoft Gold Independent Software Vendor (ISV) competency. This recognition demonstrates the company’s expertise and ability to address specific business needs.

The bar was recently raised by Microsoft for the requirements to achieve gold status. Organizations and associated individuals who have achieved the new gold competencies have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment within a particular Microsoft business solution area.  ISVs have to provide a minimum of five customers to testify to the quality of their solution and the benefits that are provided.

“Equisys products have specific focus on Microsoft platforms, which makes this gold-level recognition especially important to us,” says Equisys CEO Chris Oswald. “Microsoft considers its gold partners to be elite business partners who have the knowledge, skills and commitment to help organizations implement the right solutions to match business needs”.

Zetadocs and Zetafax integrate heavily with the Microsoft platform, which provides means and solutions to help business cut cost and improve customer service.

Sundial Telecom, a company based in the U.K. that provides telecommunication services including Internet faxing options, announced that they will be making some changes to their email to fax service.

The changes are being made because the new system is built on brand new and faster technology. This means that users’ faxes will be sent even quicker than they have in the past. Process-related benefits include being able to store recipient addresses against the users contacts in their email address book. Also, multiple attachments are now sent in one single message instead of multiple fax pages.

The old system will no longer be in use beginning February 2011. Anyone using the old method needs to be aware of this change and begin using the new system as soon as possible.
